Crossing Qalandiya
Two women meet by chance at a party, both mothers, both a similar age – but with one key difference. Daniela is Israeli, Shireen Palestinian. So divided by fear and hatred are their two countries, they realise they will never be able to visit each other at home, despite living less than 100km apart. So, they begin to write letters…
This is a moving and illuminating exchange of ideas – at once accessible and profound, personal and political – and a beacon of hope in the wilderness of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
Part of the proceeds from Crossing Qalandiya will go to Children of Peace, supporting young people on both sides of the divide.
