Stay a while to share my thoughts on writing and life.

It is NaNoWriMo month!

What’s that?

During the month of November, thousands of writers around the world struggle together to complete a first draft of a novel in thirty days. It is called National Novel Writing Month, or in short – NaNoWriMo. This is – how not – a Californian invention. However, many international writers have joined this maddness since it first started in 1999 with 21 participants and 6 ‘winners’ who managed to complete the difficult task at hand.

In 2009, there were 167,150 participants and 32,178 ‘winners’ – why not be one of them in 2010? What does a winner get?

A STICKER!

…and the satisfaction of having written the first draft of that book you always wanted to write. Then you can edit and revise it for another decade… but if you don’t put it down on paper (or on the screen) first, it will never happen.

So on your marks, get set, go… on November 1st.

To sign up go to www.nanowrimo.org where you can also connect with other writing buddies from around the world. Good luck!
