Autumn writing inspiration!
As another year is nearing its end and the first snow has fallen this morning on the Jura, the time is ripe for starting new projects that require reflection and introspection.
Did you ever want to write a story, a memoir, a novel? There is no better time than the present, and I try to do as a I preach and intend to use the upcoming NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) starting on November 1st to write down the draft of my third novel, Precognitions – the last of the trilogy and sequel to Recognitions and Premonitions (out in June 2019, watch this space).
For debut and experienced writers alike, NaNoWriMo (NaNoWriMo) provides a wonderful opportunity for putting down on paper (or the screen!) the first draft of that book you always wanted to write, or that you started and never finished. The idea is to just write – without editing – fifty thousand words in one month, or the first draft of your book. As any writer will tell you, this is often the most difficult part.
And so, I hope to see you on the NaNoWriMo forum for late night discussions or inspiration during the month of November. My user name is dinorris – feel free to friend me there and share late-autumn inspiration!
